On every continent there are innovative approaches to policy, research and practice to make the most of non-school hours. In 2023 we founded GELYDA to create the link between scholarship, new practices and programming as well as creating national and international systems. After a very successful virtual inaugural symposium in May 2024 we are now going to host a hybrid conference in Reykjavik Iceland in June 2025, gathering in person and for those who are not able to join, offering online components to promote participation for all. ​
